Postpartum Weight Loss- Fitting In Exercise

Filed under: Fit by Sara — admin @ 11:49 am

To Sara of Fit by Sara: “I enjoy exercise, but between work and kids,  I just can’t find the time to fit it into my day.  What suggestion do you have to fit in exercise?”

From Sara of Fit by Sara: “I know working full time and having kids takes up the majority of your time, however making your health/exercise a priority will make you a better mom and more efficient at work!  You may have to workout when it’s not convenient for you, like early in the morning, or late after the kids go to bed.  You can also use your lunch hour to exercise.  If you work out for 20 min. 4-5 x per week, it will make a significant difference in how you look and feel.”-Sara Holliday

Pregnancy Exercise- Too Tired to Workout

Filed under: Fit by Sara — admin @ 4:57 pm
To Sara of Fit by Sara: “I’m so busy with the holidays and tired from being pregnant that I’m having trouble fitting
in any exercise.  Any suggestions?”

From Sara of Fit by Sara: “On top of having the usual fatigue from pregnancy, the holidays can be a stressful time,
full of more “to-do’s” than usual.  Unfortunately, the last “to-do” is often, exercise.  The trick to getting motivated
to exercise is to reinforce how much better you will feel AFTER exercising.  Remind yourself that you’ll have more
energy and therefore get more done.  On top of having more energy, exercise will often help relieve pregnancy pains.

To make sure you get in your exercise, schedule exercise into your week, allotting a minimum of 30-60 minutes of
“exercise time” 3-5 times per week.  The holidays are the perfect time to take up stress relieving exercise such as
walking, yoga, and indoor swimming-all of which will benefit your pregnancy.  With these exercises you’ll likely
experience less muscle pain, potentially easier labor, and quicker bounce back!  All the more reason to make
exercise a priority.- Sara Holliday
